Course description

This qualification is for individuals with  ICT skills, whether in technical roles or management. It covers various industries and includes:

  • Cyber Security: Protecting data and creating security plans.
  • Telecommunications Network Engineering: Managing network projects and compliance with regulations. Skills may be applied across different sectors or in business ownership.

To be successful in ACE, international Students are mandatory to effectuate the following requirements:

Entry Requirements for international students

  • At least 18 years old 
  • Have completed year 12 or equivalent

English Requirements

  • IELTS: Overall score of 6.0 (no band less than 5.5), with results from the last 2 years, Or equivalent English test.
  • Alternative Proof:
    • 5 years of education in an English-speaking country, or
    • Successful completion of an English Placement Test. 

GS Requirements

The genuine student  requirement (GS) is an integrity measure to ensure that the Student visa Program is used as intended and not used by international students as a way of maintaining de facto permanent residency in Australia. The GS requirement applies to all student visa applicants.

In order to be granted a student visa, applicants must satisfy the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs (DHA) that they have a genuine intention to study in Australia  and only for the purpose of study.

In assessing the GS requirements, DHA will consider the requirements set out in Ministerial Direction 106. This requires DHA to be satisfied that the student visa applicant genuinely intends to study and having regard to:

1-The applicant’s circumstances in their home country

2-The applicant’s potential circumstances in Australia

3-Previous study in Australia 

4-The value of the course to the applicant’s future

5-The applicant’s immigration history

6-If the applicant is a minor – the intention of a parent, legal guardian or spouse of the applicant

7-Any other relevant matters

The course is delivered across 108 weeks Face to Face (includes 80 weeks of training and assessment, divided into 8 terms of 10 weeks each, plus 24 weeks of holidays.) 

We have our campus located at L5, 56/58 York St, Sydney NSW 2000 where all the courses are delivered face to face.

Students are required to complete a range of tasks as part of the assessment requirements for each unit. Assessments methods may include:

  • Projects/ case study, ICT Practical
  • Observations and demonstrations, short written knowledge and web-based research and report
  • Practical demonstration

RPL and credit transfer (CT) can be applied for at the time of enrollment or during orientation and the original or certified copy must be provided. Please contact our admission and academic team to assess your eligibility for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT).

Upon successful completion of all the required units of this course, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification in ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security and Telecommunications). Students who do not complete all required units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of a ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security and Telecommunications).

Potential employment options are in a range of IT-related roles. Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into higher education qualifications in information technology.
